Kai lan
Kai lan is a slightly bitter leaf vegetable featuring thick, flat, glossy blue-green leaves with thick stems and a small number of tiny, almost vestigial flower heads similar to those of broccoli. It is also known as Chinese broccoli or Chinese kale.
Chinese Kale (Gai Lan, Chinese Broccoli)
Kai lan is same as Chinese Kale (Gai Lan, Chinese Broccoli). Chinese Kale, also called Kailaan or Chinese Broccoli, has glossy, blue-green leaves with crisp and thick stems. This vegetable adapts well to cold and hot climates and is grown all year round in California. After the first cutting of the main stem, the plant will grow many branches for subsequent harvests.
